**Definitions:**

**Kilogram Per Cubic Meter** (abbreviations: **kg/m3, or kgpm3**): is an SI derived unit of density, defined by mass in kilograms divided by volume in cubic metres.

**Tonne Per Cubic Meter** (abbreviations: **t/m3, or tpm3**): is a unit of density, defined by mass in tonnes divided by volume in cubic meter

## How to Convert Kilograms Per Cubic Meters to Tonnes Per Cubic Meters

*Example: How many tonnes per cubic meters are equivalent to 2.37 kilograms per cubic meters?*

As;

1 kilograms per cubic meters = 0.001 tonnes per cubic meters

2.37 kilograms per cubic meters = Y tonnes per cubic meters

Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;

Y equals 2.37 times 0.001 over 1

(i.e.) Y = 2.37 * 0.001 / 1 = 0.00237 tonnes per cubic meters

Answer is: 0.00237 tonnes per cubic meters are equivalent to 2.37 kilograms per cubic meters.
